Vice President of Research and Development

This is a senior leadership role that requires a deep understanding of research strategies and their implementation. The successful candidate will lead the development of comprehensive research plans, aligned with the university's mission and goals.

  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in strategic leadership, including developing and implementing research agendas.
  • They must be able to identify emerging trends and opportunities, and guide the university's research priorities accordingly.

Responsibilities include:

Strategic Leadership
  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive research strategy aligned with the university's mission and goals.
  • Identifying emerging research trends and opportunities and guiding the university's research priorities accordingly.

Administration and Operations

  • Overseeing the Research Office and all university research operations.
  • Developing policies and procedures for research administration.

Research Funding and Grants

  • Identifying and pursuing external funding opportunities, grants, and partnerships to support research activities.
  • Providing guidance and support to faculty in the preparation and submission of research grant proposals.

Research Integrity and Ethics

  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to research integrity and ethics.
  • Implementing and maintaining a culture of research excellence, integrity, and collaboration.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Extensive experience in research administration and management.
  • Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A Ph.D. or equivalent in a relevant field.
