Job Summary
The Associate Director of Loans oversees the financial aid process, determining student eligibility and administering all phases. This role is responsible for performing electronic data exchange between the university and the U.S. Department of Education.
Key Responsibilities- Determine student eligibility for financial aid and administer all phases of the financial aid process
- Perform electronic data exchange between the university and the U.S. Department of Education
- Process electronic data using appropriate technology and software
- Review and edit electronic applicant and other data
- Check and validate accuracy of Pell payments using information from Records, Student Financial Services, the U.S. Department of Education, and all federal regulated sources
- Reconcile duplicate Pell and Direct Loan disbursements
- Resolve Pell Overpayment awards (POP) and Multiple Record Reporting (MRR) between reporting institutions
- Bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience in financial aid processing, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
- Experience with Direct Loans, Pell, reconciliation, award processing, and Banner
