UI Software Engineer - SAP Concur Platform Interface

Position Overview

As a member of the SAP Concur Platform Interface team, you will be responsible for developing essential components of SAP Concur Travel and Expense solutions that improve user engagement and generate business value. This includes the advancement of the Homepage (the main entry point for end-users), Profile and Administration interfaces, along with the UI framework, libraries, and components utilized across Concur applications. The team also guarantees that these services and components are secure, compliant, and accessible. Your contributions will facilitate innovative and captivating experiences for millions of SAP clients worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of user-facing products and components, including SAP Concur's Homepage, Profile UI, Admin UI, and Core UI libraries and components.
  • Utilize a variety of UI technologies and tools such as React, Babel, Webpack, TypeScript, and UI Testing frameworks like Jest, testing-library, and playwright, as well as documentation tools like Storybook.
  • Implement secure software development practices and tools, including source control (git, semantic versioning, package publishing and maintenance, etc.) and development tools (package managers, linters, bundlers, transpilers, etc.).
  • Embrace comprehensive ownership: architect, design, code, test, deploy, and monitor software while providing support to our clients.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, and fellow engineers in a dynamic Agile environment.
  • Engage in continuous learning as we adapt quickly and are open to exploring new territories.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with software engineering, particularly in UI or full-stack development.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering high-quality user experiences for modern web applications.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools such as Git, Webpack, and automated testing frameworks.
  • Strong technical leadership skills, promoting a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with APIs (REST, GraphQL) and cloud services like AWS is a plus.
  • Proficient communication skills in English.
