Job Summary:
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of inbound operations at Amazon's Fulfillment Center. This role requires a strong understanding of metrics and standards, as well as the ability to drive process improvements and lead a team of leaders and associates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement staffing plans, schedules, and quality initiatives to meet and exceed business plan targets.
- Measure performance, provide feedback, and hold area leaders accountable for their performance and departmental results.
- Collaborate with operations and area managers to source and implement improvement plans for the functional area.
- Ensure best practices are shared across departments, shifts, and the network.
- Work closely with support staff to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives.
- Address operational and personnel issues affecting the functional area and surface issues with potential to affect multiple areas to senior operations, general manager, and/or HR.
Requirements:
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
- Experience with employee and performance management.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques.
