Front Office Manager

The Front Office Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring that guest experiences are exceptional from check-in through check-out.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire Front Office operation to maintain high standards and drive operational excellence
  • Evaluate levels of guest satisfaction and monitor trends to inform continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure regular and VIP guests are recognised and valued, with a focus on promoting the hotel brand's loyalty scheme
  • Maximise room occupancy at best rates and leverage up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities
  • Set departmental objectives, work schedules, and policies to ensure seamless operations
  • Maintain high standards of appearance, performance, and teamwork among Front Office Team Members
  • Ensure Team Members have current knowledge of hotel products, services, pricing, and policies, as well as local area information, to provide exceptional guest service
  • Foster strong working relationships with all hotel departments to drive collaboration and efficiency
  • Monitor staffing levels to meet business demands and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Conduct regular communication meetings and maintain accurate minutes to ensure open dialogue
  • Manage staff performance issues in accordance with company policies and procedures to maintain a positive work environment
  • Recruit, train, and develop the Front Office team to ensure they possess the skills and knowledge required to excel in their roles
  • Comply with hotel security, fire regulations, and health and safety legislation to ensure a safe working environment
  • Utilise front of house equipment and property management systems effectively, adhering to established policies and procedures
  • Assist other departments as needed to drive overall hotel success
