Manufacturing Engineer Job

Develop innovative assembly processes based on customer requirements, manage process implementation and equipment selection. Resolve quality plan issues, participate in technology adoption to increase efficiency.

  • Design detailed manufacturing plans for new programs, including equipment planning and retooling.
  • Coordinate sourcing activities for external tooling and equipment purchases, gathering information on products and production requirements.
  • Support equipment operators through training and provide reference materials and technical assistance.
  • Monitor plant operations during equipment installation, certification, run-off and launch, escalating issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with the PC&L team to optimize material flow to the production line and ensure efficient operations.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of company operations, including sequencing, subassembly, shipping and receiving.
  • Manage program change requests to ensure timely and effective implementation.
  • Integrate quality tools into assembly process design and equipment, delivering a robust manufacturing system.
  • Develop and update policies, procedures and work guidelines to maintain process integrity.
  • Promote health and safety best practices in all phases of engineering, installation and launch activities.
  • Analyze and improve existing manufacturing processes and develop new production methods using lean manufacturing principles.
  • Create clear work instructions, standard operating procedures and accurate process documentation.
  • Collaborate with design, quality, maintenance and production teams to resolve process and equipment issues.
  • Perform root cause analyses for process deviations and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and generate reports to track manufacturing efficiency and quality metrics.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • +5 years of experience in assembly and/or manufacturing.
  • Experience with APQP system.
  • Advanced English skills.

  • Knowledge of tooling, equipment and automation in automotive assembly applications.
  • Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills for complex issues.
  • Good decision-making skills and technical judgment.

  • Ability to analyze data and apply statistical tools for process evaluation and improvement.
  • Project management and organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations relevant to manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
