We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Product Development Specialist to play a key role in advancing solutions for the era of new mobility.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and launch of innovative products.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing customer products from first system concept through quote, prototyping, validation, and towards a fully released product in mass production.
- Ensure proactive requirements and risk management for all technical aspects.
- Meet customer specifications as well as cost targets, design-to-manufacture, and timing goals.
- Act as technical liaison between product development teams and customers and all other internal functions like design, manufacturing, and industrialization.
- Supervise product testing including handling of hazardous substances, interpretation of test results, introduction of the necessary actions and modifications as required to ensure that all requirements are met.
- Support flawless launches by planning and controlling all technical issues related to assigned projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable education.
- Strong years of experience in the automotive industry.
- Blow molding product design knowledge including welding and assembly is a strong plus.
- Demonstrate a solid knowledge in Product Design, Engineering Systems, DFMEA, CAD/CAE & Simulation, Materials & Components (Plastics, Rubbers, and Metals), GD&T, D/FMA, Quality & Process Tools (PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC, …), Problem Solving Skills (A3) and Product Testing Knowledge to interpret results and take corresponding actions.
- Portuguese and English Fluent are required.
