Our Pension Technical Unit is a team of pension specialists providing strategic advice and implementation support to shape the future of retirement provision. We are seeking an experienced Pension Expert Consultant to join our team.

The Role involves working within the Pensions Technical Unit, on legislative requirements affecting occupational and personal pension arrangements. This includes sharing main responsibilities with other Pension Experts, taking full responsibility for updating intranet material, analysing new legislation, and writing summaries for consultants and clients.

Requirements
  • Fascination for detail and ability to grasp complex legislative requirements
  • Understanding of legislation and knowledge of DWP, HMRC, TPR, PPF, and government departments' requirements
  • Analytical ability to examine new legislation and identify issues that need clarification
  • Ability to link separate pieces of information from different sources to produce a composite picture
  • Research ability and desire to find answers in source documents rather than relying on third-party publications
  • Able to simplify complex material while remaining accurate
  • Good drafting skills and oral communication skills
  • Clear understanding of knowledge limits and willingness to say when unsure or seek help
  • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks under pressure and take responsibility
