Job Title: Taxation Specialist

 

Job Function Overview

The role of the Taxation Specialist is to provide expert support in tax management activities, focusing on controversy, audit, and planning in Brazil. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant tax regulations and laws.

 

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage administrative and judicial tax processes, ensuring timely completion and minimizing potential risks.
  • Monitor tax-related notices, notifications, and deadlines, ensuring prompt action to prevent penalties and fines.
  • Prepare comprehensive tax contingency reports and support internal/external audits to ensure accuracy and transparency.
  • Handle regulatory agency inspections, gathering supporting documentation and preparing technical responses to tax authorities.
  • Closely work with the team to negotiate infraction notices and support the closure of audits.
  • Analyze tax impacts of new products, operations, or legislative changes to identify opportunities for fiscal efficiency and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain organizational systems for documents, opinions, and case history to facilitate efficient information retrieval.

 

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Law, or Administration.
  • Proven experience in Indirect Taxes, especially in Tax Controversy, Audit, and Planning.
  • In-depth knowledge of Brazilian tax legislation (Federal, State, and Municipal).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various teams.
  • Advanced Office package skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
