Waste Recovery Specialist

The position of Waste Recovery Specialist is responsible for studying and developing technological routes for the recovery of waste in urban areas. This involves evaluating the feasibility and applicability of collecting waste in different fractions, consolidating information on the consumer market for secondary resources, and developing a comprehensive study on the reduction of atmospheric emissions within the scope of the technological route evaluated.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the feasibility and applicability of collecting urban solid waste in three (3) fractions - dry recyclable waste, organic waste and rejects.
- Consolidate information delivered from UN regarding the consumer market for secondary resources from waste treatment (organic compost, recyclable materials, RDF, energy, etc.).
- Include technical considerations on the reduction of atmospheric emissions within the scope of the technological route evaluated.
- Develop the technological route study, based on the items described above and on technical, environmental and economic feasibility.
