Lead Controls Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Lead Controls Engineer to lead and design Locomotive Vehicle Control systems that meet customer requirements, cost, and reliability expectations. This role requires a deep understanding of control systems and the ability to drive a culture of quality and technological refinement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Design and Validation: Define system-level requirements, prepare test plans for locomotive vehicle control systems, and perform system validation to ensure technical decisions meet customer and business needs.
  • Vehicle Control Development: Design and develop Vehicle Control for Locomotives, including Trainline control, On-board monitoring, diagnostics applications, AESS, Master Controller, and Control Integration.
  • Model Development and Simulation: Develop models as per design requirements, carry out desktop simulations to verify the design, and develop validation plans to perform control/subsystem/system validation.
Requirements:
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Control System Engineering.
  • Professional Experience: Large experience in Engineering in similar/relevant fields.
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with the design and development of control algorithms in a relevant field, knowledge of MATLAB, Simulink/Stateflow or similar tools, and experience in Human Machine Interface (HMI), Trainline control, On-board monitoring, diagnostics applications, AESS, Master Controller, Control Integration, and Control Networks.
