Strategic Marketing Role

We're seeking a creative and strategic marketing professional to lead our partner-led growth initiatives. This person will be instrumental in developing and executing marketing strategies, building strong relationships with accounting partners, and driving growth through co-marketing programs.

Mercury is a financial technology company that provides banking services through partnerships with Choice Financial Group, Column N.A., and Evolve Bank & Trust; Members FDIC.

This role involves some travel within the United States.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own the partner marketing strategy for Mercury's accounting ecosystem, including CPA firms, fractional CFOs, and bookkeeping partners.
  • Dream up campaigns to acquire new accounting partners and drive referrals, working collaboratively across functions to execute and iterate.
  • Develop and execute co-marketing campaigns with top partners, including webinars, case studies, social content, events, and more.
  • Be accountable for Mercury's partner program growth, both in terms of number of partners and partner referrals.
  • Drive partner engagement and retention.
Requirements:
  • 5-8 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on partner marketing or product marketing.
  • SaaS experience: You've worked at a B2B startup, preferably in FinTech, with experience marketing to accountants being a plus.
  • Strategy and details: Be able to operate at all levels of depth, setting marketing strategy and quarterly targets while also enjoying reviewing user journeys and drafting copy.
  • Results driven: You can set the right targets and are relentless at hitting them, using data and customer insights to continually refine the roadmap.
  • Experimentation mindset: You have a bias to action and can run tests and learn fast, excited to build something from the ground up.

The total rewards package at Mercury includes a base salary, equity (stock options), and benefits. Our salary and equity ranges are highly competitive within the SaaS and fintech industry and are updated regularly using reliable compensation survey data. New hire offers are made based on a candidate's experience, expertise, geographic location, and internal pay equity relative to peers.

Target Base Salary Ranges:

  • US employees in New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle, or the San Francisco Bay Area: $128,600-$144,600
  • US employees outside of New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle, or the San Francisco Bay Area: $115,700-$130,100
  • Canadian employees (any location): CAD $121,500 - $136,700
