Property Management and Accounting Specialist

As a Property Management and Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and maintenance of financial records, including general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and accounts payable/receivable.
  • Process invoices, expense reports, and payment requests.
  • Support the accounting team in preparing financial reports and analysis.
  • Conduct regular audits of financial data to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate tenant and property owner records, documenting all interactions and transactions.
  • Serve as a main point of contact for property owners, tenants, and prospective tenants, ensuring professional and courteous assistance.
  • Address and resolve tenant issues, including maintenance requests, rent payment inquiries, and lease agreement clarifications.
  • Collaborate with property managers and maintenance staff to schedule repairs and maintenance tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in property management, customer support, or accounting roles is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in property management software, such as Appfolio, Buildium, Rent Manager or Rentec is a plus, accounting software, and MS, Google Office applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and property management processes.
  • Availability to work flexible hours to accommodate customer needs.
