Market Development Specialist

Description:

This role requires developing and implementing strategic plans to launch new products in the market. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing technical support, designing audio systems, and setting up equipment.

The successful candidate will also have a deep understanding of industry practices and company policies. They must be able to communicate effectively and present complex information in a clear manner.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing strategic plans to seed and go to market with new products and technologies
  • Identifying and prioritizing market leads and opportunities to influence purchases and specifications with key end users and influencers
  • Forming relationships with potential regional customers outside of the current revenue stream
  • Implementing ongoing improvements to the Market Development program

Additionally, the candidate will develop educational programs, presentations, conferences, seminars, clinics, and other events to increase awareness and understanding of Shure products. They will also evaluate the effectiveness of these programs and identify areas for improvement.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Engineering, or a related field and a minimum of 7 years of experience in the industry.

We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to handle multiple assignments. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential for this role.

This position requires frequent travel, up to 75% of the time.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in the industry
  • Technical knowledge of audio principles and products
  • Extensive experience providing audio technical support, audio design, and equipment setup
  • Background or experience with touring production, theater production, integration, conferencing, broadcasting, or networking
