Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Professional to join our team. This role involves utilizing technical expertise to optimize and streamline software development processes.


Key Responsibilities
  • Improve tooling for continuous build, automated testing and release management, ensuring efficient deployment of high-quality software products.
  • Build, maintain and run workloads on Kubernetes orchestration systems using Docker containers, promoting scalable and reliable solutions.
  • Analyze and measure the impact of technology choices at an individual product level, providing data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
  • Profile build processes and identify bottlenecks, implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Demonstrate expertise in writing scripts to automate tasks, leveraging automation to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy.
  • Implement Continuous Integration/Deployment build principles, ensuring seamless integration and deployment of software products.
  • Provide expertise in quality engineering, test planning and testing methodology for a software project, guaranteeing high-quality deliverables.
  • Help businesses develop an overall strategy for deploying code, aligning with organizational goals and objectives.

Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in Linux, CI/CD, Docker and Kubernetes is essential for this role.
  • Proficiency in Python, Shell or Bash scripting is required, as well as experience with creating and maintaining automated build and configuration management tools (Ansible, Helm, Kustomize, Terraform or Gitlab).
  • Expertise in full Docker container lifecycle from Dockerfile best practices to Kubernetes pod execution is necessary.
  • Research and propose new solutions for CI/CD based on synthesis of best practices, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Balance value propositions of modern tools and integration in product teams for attributable business value.
  • Understand the TCO of a product and select tools to keep costs low.
  • Influence others and create coalitions for new and modified processes.
  • Prevent rework by tapping into organizational knowledge.
  • Reflect on successes and failures to improve performance and decision-making.
  • Direct and mentor others in critical thinking skills.
  • Proactively engage with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and design solutions.
