Job Title

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our team as a Middle Mile Transportation Execution Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for developing the middle mile transportation network in Brazil, developing new transportation partners, and working closely with Fulfillment Center (FC) operations, carrier hubs, and other transportation and supply chain functions.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for connecting fulfillment centers, sort centers, air gateways, and final mile delivery stations. You will deliver results by moving truckloads efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop the middle mile transportation network in Brazil
  • Develop new transportation partners
  • Work closely with Fulfillment Center (FC) operations, carrier hubs, and other transportation and supply chain functions
  • Help critical customer partners on how to best use Amazon transportation services
Requirements
  • Strong experience within transportation, procurement, and logistics areas
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Access
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to set priorities and work under pressure
  • Ability to multi-task, managing multiple activities simultaneously with attention to detail and high capability to work on different projects in parallel
  • Fluent English and Portuguese
  • Interest in long-term career development through assignments in multiple facilities
  • Experience working in distribution center/fulfillment center operations
  • Up to 25% travel (domestic)
  • Strong organizational and clerical skills
  • Excellent Communication skills - deal with carriers as stakeholders/customers
  • Previous experience in following processes and analyses, metrics, and problem solving
  • Goal driven, target orientated, able to step back and look at the bigger picture (helicopter view), the person will also be able to manage ambiguity with their sleeves rolled up, and possess a preparedness to get involved
  • The person must be willing to work independently
  • Experience of managing 3rd party contract resource arrangements on a large/national scale
  • Awareness of the importance of customer service
  • Excellent relationship skills
