The position of Financial Operations Manager is a key role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our financial processes in LATAM. This individual will be responsible for overseeing and reviewing all finance-related activities, including financial statements, reports, and other accounting responsibilities as needed.

This person will also maintain a daily relationship with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

  • Ensure accurate and reviewed financial statements and GL accounts.
  • Verify proper calculation of direct and indirect taxes.
  • Perform tax accounting reconciliation versus tax books.
  • Deliver tax obligations for the region with quality and on-time results.
  • Provide consulting services on accounting and tax matters to various processes (invoicing, project and account managers, purchasing, etc.) to ensure compliance.
  • Interact with external tax providers to perform key activities required by tax authorities.
  • Discuss potential finance implications with customers and providers.
  • Conduct research and assessments on accounting and tax matters within the region with support from local teams and external providers.
  • Co-review financial statements, financial reports, and other accounting responsibilities as needed.
  • Calculate accounting and tax parameters properly within ERP systems and other tools used in the company.
  • Support the UK team in accounting and tax issues within the region.
  • Perform other accounting and tax tasks as required.
  • Maintain good professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Have a consultative exchange with the internal team.
  • Solve problems proactively and find solutions when necessary.
  • Optimize delivery of activities within budget and deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively and timely.
  • Prioritize activities and key deliverables using know-how.
  • Work independently and assist other processes as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience working with accounting
  • 5+ years of experience working with finance or controller positions
  • Great experience with general accounting and financial statements
  • Experience in managing external providers and different stakeholders
  • Self-motivated with good communication skills
  • Eager to learn and look for information when needed
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Good organization, autonomy, and sense of accountability
  • Active participation in the team's work to achieve common goals
  • Flexibility in stress management on time
  • Reactivity, motivation, and commitment to developing one's own knowledge and skills
  • Advanced Spanish and English level
