Senior Revenue Accountant Role

We are seeking a seasoned Financial Leader to oversee and optimize our revenue accounting operations.

This strategic role is ideal for a proactive Revenue Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the monthly revenue close process, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP (ASC 606), streamlining processes, and supporting the implementation of scalable systems.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the monthly revenue close process, including preparation and review of journal entries and reconciliations related to revenue and deferred revenue.
  2. Monitor sales activity in Salesforce to ensure all activity is feeding into NetSuite.
  3. Work with the Salesforce development team to correct any errors in the data transformation from Salesforce to NetSuite.
  4. Build new product items and maintain all products items in NetSuite.
  5. Reconcile payments received with merchant services report.
  6. Participate in month-end close process.
  7. Drive improvements in existing financial systems and partner with IT and external vendors to scale revenue-related workflows.
  8. Support internal reporting needs through the preparation of revenue analytics and variance analyses for senior leadership.
  9. Partner with cross-functional teams on new product rollouts, third-party revenue arrangements, and entity expansion initiatives from a revenue accounting perspective.
  10. Manage data integrity across systems (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce) to ensure consistency and accuracy in revenue recognition and billing.
  11. Ensure compliance with internal controls and help enhance the revenue-related control environment.
  12. Support the Controller and finance team in other accounting tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred.
  • 3+ years of progressive revenue accounting experience.
  • Deep understanding of US GAAP, especially ASC 606.
  • Strong experience with ERP systems (ideally NetSuite) and financial reporting tools.
  • Proven ability to manage complex revenue streams and interpret multi-element arrangements.
  • Experience implementing or optimizing revenue accounting processes and systems.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to operate independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive under deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience working with large datasets. PowerBI and data visualization skills are a plus.
