Senior Governance Specialist Role Overview

This role is a key part of developing, implementing and maintaining organizational governance frameworks and policies to ensure the organization operates ethically and efficiently.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain governance frameworks and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with internal regulations and external requirements.
  • Mitigate risks and facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Oversee policy development, monitor compliance, and maintain governance structures.
  • Provide guidance on compliance matters.
  • Distribute internal regulations such as policies, standards, and work procedures.
  • Support the governance process and policy development.
  • Communicate with leadership teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of administrative experience.
  • Experience in policy development, implementation, and compliance monitoring.
  • Knowledge of governance frameworks, risk management, and compliance best practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
