Senior Governance Specialist

Our Internal Audit team is seeking a Senior Governance Specialist to conduct independent and objective assessments of internal controls and risk management.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with different stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct governance and regulatory audits, exploring requirements of regulators in Brazil.
  • Coordinate collection of information, prepare and review responses to regulatory inquiries.
  • Proactively monitor key regulatory changes, providing timely updates and regulatory support.
  • Contribute to strategic projects, applying data exploration and analysis techniques to identify unmitigated risks and/or evaluate efficiency of implemented controls.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in audit, preferably in financial, payments, or fintech sector.
  • Strong understanding of Brazil's regulatory environment, including familiarity with local regulatory bodies such as Central Bank of Brazil and CVM.
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments and control testing.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to perform in-depth analysis, particularly related to governance issues.
  • Demonstrated willingness to share knowledge and contribute to improvement of team's technical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to collaborate effectively with different stakeholders at various levels.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Intermediate English level.
  • Ability to constantly adapt and quickly learn new technologies and tools, including AI tools.

Our Nu Way of Working:

Our work model is hybrid, with cycles that can be from two to three months according to business of expertise. For every eight or twelve weeks of remote work, one will be at the office.
