Commercial Operations Manager Position Summary

As a Commercial Operations Manager, you will lead teams and manage commercial project coordination, risk management, and associated reviews. You will work closely with sales directors and account managers to ensure customer needs are met and all commercial aspects of deals are aligned with company goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate commercial projects, including client requirements, procurements, financial estimates, contract terms, schedules, scope compliances, and project plans.
  • Identify and assess project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure timely completion, improved probability of winning bids, and required quality standards.
  • Provide competitive commercial proposals that meet customer requirements and business goals.
  • Collaborate with sales and account managers to align commercial aspects with company objectives.
  • Mentor, train, and coach direct reports to ensure professional growth and development.
  • Ensure contract execution according to company policies and guidelines.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, business administration, or related fields.
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in similar roles with people management and complex proposal handling.
- Strong leadership skills, good communication, and business acumen.
- Experience in developing commercial strategies and proposals.
- Ability to work collaboratively with sales and account managers.
- Knowledge of risk management and mitigation strategies, legal and financial contract requirements.
Desired Qualifications:
  • MS Word, Excel, PPR, MS Project proficiency.
  • Sales Force proficiency.
  • Ability to write compelling proposal narratives and oral presentation slides from scratch.
  • Skills to research, compose, review, illustrate, and edit technical documents.
