Marketplace Optimization Lead

This role is responsible for developing and implementing optimization strategies to enhance marketplace efficiency. You will be the primary local contributor on mathematical models and algorithmic strategies that power our three-sided crowdshipping marketplace.

The goal is to optimize for speed, reliability, and unit economics by architecting core models for real-time matching, dynamic pricing, and resource allocation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Optimization Strategy Development: Design and implement mathematical models and algorithms to maximize successful matches and minimize cost and wait time.
  • Problem Statement Definition: Work closely with Algorithm Development to specify mathematical problem statements, define objective functions, constraints, and key performance indicators for success.
  • Market Intelligence Synthesis: Act as liaison between Central Operations, Local Teams, and HQ technical teams. Gather qualitative and quantitative insights from frontline and transform them into quantifiable, actionable algorithm briefings.
  • Performance Analysis: Conduct deep-dive analysis on marketplace performance data to diagnose bottlenecks and identify opportunities for algorithmic improvement.
Requirements:
  • Quantitative & Modeling Expertise: Advanced degree in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience designing and implementing optimization models and algorithms for large-scale, real-world marketplaces.
  • Hands-on Expertise: Deep hands-on expertise with mathematical modeling concepts such as Optimization, Routing Algorithms, Matching Theory.
