Solid Waste Department Leader

The successful candidate will oversee operations at the solid-waste barn and be responsible for the organization of the department.
Key responsibilities include maintaining and updating the Solid Waste Tracking spreadsheet, ensuring quality control of the data being inputted, and coordinating daily tasking depending on the skill set of the Waste Stream Coordinator's.
Additionally, the Solid Waste Supervisor will serve as a Spill Team Member and be on call for one week out of every four, twenty-four hours a day.
They will also be responsible for the safe and technically proficient operation of equipment such as articulating loaders, graders, fork-lifts, tracked agricultural tractors, dump-trucks, excavators, etc.
Furthermore, they will perform daily equipment checks to ensure all equipment is properly maintained and in safe operating condition.
Other duties include accurately recording time worked and equipment hours used daily in Maximo, performing other duties as required, and reporting to Manager, Solid Waste.
Requirements:Willingness and ability to deploy to Antarctica for extended periods is required. The successful candidate must also be willing and able to lift and move items, parts, assemblies and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum.
