As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the commercial and strategic development of solar energy projects from conception to financial close. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with the Development Manager to define project assumptions for business plans;
  • Steering the development of brownfield solar projects from initial PPA secured until financial close;
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery;
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements;
  • Optimizing budgets and allocating resources effectively;
  • Crafting presentations for executives on project progress;
  • Transferring ownership of projects to construction teams upon financial close.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in business development for utility-scale solar PV projects;
  • A proven track record in managing full project lifecycles – from greenfield development to financial close;
  • Strong negotiation skills with landowners, partners, and public stakeholders;
  • Ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Familiarity with regulatory, permitting, and grid connection processes;
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
