Post-Fixture Operations Specialist

Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Post-Fixture Operations Specialist to join our team in Rio De Janeiro. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a variety of post-fixture related duties for the Tanker department, including liaising with brokers, counterparties, owners, and charterers throughout the voyage.
Key Responsibilities
• Carry out various post-fixture operations, including checking recaps and charter parties, and inputting and updating relevant data on voyage sheets.
• Liaise with brokers / counterparties / owners / charterers with regards to operational matters on ships and / or cargo.
• Ensure any declarations are noted and diarised, and communicate declarations with clients prior to expiration.
• Track vessel itineraries, ensuring vessels meet contractual obligations, and chase for and check load / discharge / proceeding orders.
• Follow up on and log load port documentation, and ensure LOI's are issued timely.
• Check freight / hire invoices, ensuring they are accurate and issued on time, and chase for payment if needed.
• Advise clients if any claims time bar clause applicable per charter party, and liaise with accounts team with regards to issuance of commissions invoice.
• Close voyage data sheet, and analyse and provide solutions to any issues faced by clients/ships/cargoes.

Additional Requirements
• Previous operations experience;
• Experience / knowledge within tankers operations, preferable;
• Knowledge of shipping practices;
• Ability to understand recaps and charter parties, clauses for voyage and time-charter vessels;
• Strong analytical skills, with a good record of shipment breakdown;
• Highly responsive, and a strong communicator, both verbal and written, and able to build strong relationships;
• Highly organised with excellent time management skills;
• Self-motivated, diligent and able to work well under pressure;
• Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail;
• Flexible and willing to work out of office hours and weekends as required;
• Able to use MS office packages (inc. outlook, excel, word);
• Fluency in English.
