Post-Fixture Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Post-Fixture Operator to join our Tankers team in Rio De Janeiro. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing post-fixture operations, liaising with brokers, counterparties, owners, and charterers, and ensuring the smooth execution of vessel itineraries.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage post-fixture operations, including checking recaps and charter parties, inputting and updating relevant data on voyage sheets, and ensuring declarations are noted and diaried.
- Liaise with brokers, counterparties, owners, and charterers to resolve operational matters on ships and cargo.
- Track vessel itineraries, ensuring vessels meet contractual obligations, and chase for and check load/discharge/proceeding orders.
- Follow up on and log load port documentation, and ensure LOIs are issued timely.
- Check freight/hire invoices, ensuring they are accurate and issued on time, and chase for payment if needed.
- Advise clients on claims time bar clauses applicable per charter party, and liaise with the accounts team on issuance of commissions invoices.
- Closing voyage data sheets and analyzing issues faced by clients/ships/cargoes, providing solutions and assistance to the chartering team as needed.
- Previous operations experience, preferably in tankers operations.
- Knowledge of shipping practices, including recaps and charter parties, and clauses for voyage and time-charter vessels.
- Strong analytical skills, with a good record of shipment breakdown, and highly responsive with excellent communication skills.
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills, self-motivated, diligent, and able to work well under pressure.
- Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail, flexible, and willing to work out of office hours and weekends as required.
- Fluency in English.
