Position Overview:

We seek a Business Technology Manager (Supply Chain and Freight Solutions Architect) to join our Solution Architecture and Engineering Center of Excellence within the Business Technology (BT) organization. The Solution Architect will be responsible for making technical and architectural decisions for the program, emphasizing simplicity while challenging technical limitations to achieve agile design. This role requires a hands-on expert who actively aids teams in overcoming significant challenges. The Solution Architect will also collaborate with the Enterprise Architect, Dev-Ops, BSAs, and product stakeholders to plan and develop the architectural framework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify optimal approaches and architectures to resolve issues, aligning with organizational strategies and constraints.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, BSAs, and teams to align the roadmap with the technical stack's strengths and opportunities.
• Define and manage technology approaches, architecture, and infrastructure use within the system's scope.
• Ensure architectural and technical alignment within developing products.
• Collaborate with architects and tech leads from other areas on design and architectural strategies.
• Maintain daily communication with onsite and offsite development teams to monitor project progress and architectural alignment, resolving issues and recommending actions.
• Engage with IT service providers and Bunge teams during project execution or support.
• Lead process development and standardization related to application architecture.

• Determine technologies and tools for the entrusted area.

• Lead and enhance application development, infrastructure, and testing strategies.

Management and Leadership:

• Monitor and assess the outcomes of onsite and offsite development teams.
• Influence or manage teams of lead Developers/Architects.
• Facilitate brainstorming sessions to develop solutions for business needs.
• Guide teams in execution and problem resolution.

Knowledge and Technical Requirements:

• Hands-on experience with a broad range of IT technologies, including software engineering practices, integration tools, data storage, and industry-standard frameworks.
• Ability to create and maintain technical documentation and guidelines for teams and stakeholders.
• Creative and results-oriented with strategic thinking capabilities.
• Strong problem-solving skills, considering technical, resource, and budget constraints.
• Leadership qualities and a drive for change and innovation.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of convincing stakeholders of design choices.
• Team-oriented with the ability to work under pressure.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in a similar role (Application Developer, Tech Lead, Architect).
• Proven experience in architecting and implementing systems in an enterprise environment.
• In-depth knowledge of design and architectural patterns and modern IT technologies.
• Experience in analyzing system requirements and designing solutions.
• Familiarity with architectural approaches (monolith, micro-services, ESB, etc.).
• Experience in Agile/Scrum processes.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with a methodical approach.
