Position Overview:

We are seeking a Business Technology Manager (Supply Chain and Freight Solutions Architect) to join our Solution Architecture and Engineering Center of Excellence within the Business Technology (BT) organization. The Solution Architect will be responsible for making technical and architectural decisions for the program, prioritizing simplicity while challenging technical limitations to achieve agile design. This role requires extensive hands-on experience, assisting teams in overcoming significant challenges. The Solution Architect is both an executor and a visionary behind the technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine optimal approaches and architectures to resolve issues, aligning with organizational strategies and constraints.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, BSAs, and teams to align the roadmap with the technical stack's strengths and opportunities.
  • Define and manage technology approaches, architecture, and infrastructure use within the scope of entrusted systems.
  • Ensure architectural and technical alignment within developing products.
  • Work with architects and tech leads from other areas on design and architectural strategies.
  • Engage with onsite and offsite development teams daily to monitor project progress and architectural alignment.
  • Maintain relationships with IT service providers and Bunge teams during project execution.
  • Lead process development and standardization related to application architecture.

Management and Leadership:

  • Oversee and assess the outcomes of onsite and offsite development teams.
  • Influence or manage a team of lead Developers/Architects.
  • Facilitate brainstorming sessions to devise solutions for business challenges.
  • Guide teams in execution and problem resolution.

Knowledge and Technical Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with a broad range of IT technologies, including software engineering practices and integration tools.
  • Adept at planning, building, and maintaining technical documentation for teams and stakeholders.
  • Creative and results-oriented with strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, considering technical, resource, and budget constraints.
  • Ability to lead self and others, driving change and innovation.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills.
  • Project management capabilities.
  • Negotiation skills to shape solutions and convince stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years in a similar role (Application Developer, Tech Lead, Architect).
  • Proven experience in architecting and implementing systems in an enterprise environment.
  • Deep understanding of design and architectural patterns, along with modern IT technologies.
  • Experience in analyzing system requirements and designing solutions.
  • Familiarity with architectural approaches such as monoliths and micro-services.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum development processes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluency in English.
