Role Overview:

The Operations Strategy Consultant will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the proposal development process within the Operational Strategy Unit, overseeing everything from RFP receipt to client decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and take ownership of operational strategies, ensuring accountability for all related proposal deliverables, which contributes to an enhanced RFP hit rate and fosters positive business growth.
  • Utilize all available opportunities to meet targets while improving customer relations.
  • Manage RFPs and supplementary documents for complex, multi-region, multi-service clinical development projects, as well as partnership and prospective selling initiatives.
  • Transform commercial win strategies into operational strategies that maximize RFP success rates, facilitating business growth.
  • Ensure that budgets align with operational strategies and manage proposal deliverables to meet profitability targets.
  • Collaborate with therapeutic and cross-functional leadership teams to evaluate success, profitability, and execution capabilities, assessing processes and bidding algorithms.
  • Drive the development of the operations segment of proposal deliverables within set timelines, communicate operational strategies to the proposal team, and establish KPIs to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Work closely with Clinical Operations, Commercial Organizations, and MMS to enhance proposal efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Oversee the operations escalation process and provide guidance to the commercial strategy team.
  • Recommend and support revisions post-award to ensure successful proposal execution.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant qualifications is required. Candidates should possess extensive experience (approximately 15+ years) that equips them with the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for this role.

The ideal candidate will have therapeutic experience in relevant areas such as General Medicine, Critical Care, Cardiovascular/Metabolic, Infectious/Respiratory Disease, Hematology/Oncology, Neuroscience, Vaccines, PPAS, and Government.

Experience in Clinical Operations and/or Project Management in clinical trial delivery is essential, including oversight of multiple projects of varying complexity as a global project lead or oversight director, with a strong understanding of operations finance, management, presentation skills, and contract negotiation.

  • Comprehensive understanding of sponsor/CRO business practices, operational/financial practices, SOPs, GCPs, and FDA/ICH guidelines, with the ability to analyze and evaluate processes and procedures.
