Job Summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Power Generation Field Service Technician III to join our team. As a key member of our field service team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and repair services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and execute complex repairs to generators and components at customer sites.
  • Establish and maintain productive customer relationships, ensuring prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.
  • Apply specialized tools and follow documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete complex repairs.
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities on power generation products in the field.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to product specialists or supervisors.
  • Coach and develop technicians and/or apprentices, transferring knowledge and experience to others.
  • Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, and warranty claims.
  • Maintain service vehicles and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Complete education in Electrotechnics.
  • At least 5 years of experience in an Electrotechnician role.
  • Experience with power generators.
  • Availability to travel within designated areas.
  • Active category B driver's license.

Desirable Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering.
  • Completed course in the field of power generation.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong customer service and technical skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
