Database and Power BI Developer
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Database and Power BI Developer. The ideal candidate will have expertise in database development, data modeling, and business intelligence.
The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain SQL-based relational databases and data models, write and optimize stored procedures, views, functions, and complex queries, build and manage ETL processes to ingest and transform data from various sources, monitor database performance, ensure data integrity, and implement security best practices.
The role also involves developing and maintaining scalable Power BI dashboards and reports, using Power Query (M) and DAX to transform data into insightful visualizations, creating calculated columns, measures, and KPIs using advanced DAX techniques, building semantic data models with proper relationships, hierarchies, and normalization techniques, and ensuring dashboards are optimized for usability, performance, and scalability.
Required Skills & QualificationsMinimum 3 years of experience in a database development role, at least 2 years of hands-on experience building Power BI dashboards and data models, proficient in SQL and strong understanding of data modeling principles, advanced knowledge of DAX and Power Query (M), experience with ETL tools or processes such as SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or custom-built pipelines, and exposure to data governance and BI development best practices.
