The role of Network Engineer is critical in driving the transition of existing network landscapes to the next generation, encompassing Software Defined Network, Cloud Network Infrastructure, and Automation of Network Services.

About the Position:
  • This position requires a highly skilled individual with expertise in designing/configuring network solutions that meet or exceed business requirements following documented standards.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills are necessary for providing guidance to the Network Operations and Delivery teams in delivering global network solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Analyze emerging network solutions and propose updated technology solutions based on business requirements and industry trends.
  2. Drive the transition of Lubrizol's existing traditional networking landscape to the next generation of the network, including Software Defined Network, Cloud Network Infrastructure, and Automation of Network Services.
  3. Document new network solutions in a manner that helps the Network Operations and Delivery teams deploy and support the solution.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent experience.
  • At least five years of experience supporting a global network environment.
  • Demonstrated capability with TCP/IP, subnetting, DNS, and DHCP.
What Sets You Apart:
  • CCNP certification or equivalent/higher.
  • Experience with Azure networking items such as Vnet & NSG.
Additional Skills:
  • Deployment and support of Arista, Palo Alto Firewall, VeloCloud SD-WAN, Meraki, Cisco DNA Center / Catalyst Center, and Aruba ClearPass environments.
  • Scripting and programming/automation skills, including API Programming, Python, Ansible, GIT, and Linux.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • IT related master's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced experience with technical crisis & major incident management, change advisory board (CAB) procedures, and cybersecurity principles and best practices.
