The role of a Cargo Movement Specialist is pivotal in ensuring the efficient and timely movement of goods, minimizing costs and maximizing vessel utilization.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze and provide recommendations for optimal cargo connections to minimize transit times and costs.
- Manage and update routes catalog to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Publish daily reports to support commercial teams and partners on demand for vessels and partnerships.
- Monitor and alert relevant teams to ensure 100% vessel utilization, minimizing extra costs.
- Provide assistance to planning centers and operational teams to ensure smooth operation and productivity of own vessels.
- Support various teams with their needs, maintaining good relationships with marine terminals and partners.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Proficient English language skills.
- Strong knowledge of operational routines and cargo flow principles.
- Basic understanding of shipping planning principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
