Role Description

We are seeking a seasoned technical expert to join our Customer Outcomes team as a Principal Technical Architect. This role involves providing strategic guidance to customers on establishing a strong technical foundation within the ServiceNow platform, and designing solutions that drive optimal outcomes.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in managing complex technical projects, leading architecture and design initiatives, and developing relationships with key stakeholders at customer sites. They will be responsible for guiding the engagement team to deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer needs and exceed expectations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with customers across executive, platform owner, enterprise architects, and development teams to provide strategic guidance on technical architecture and solution design;
  • Providing technical expertise across multiple engagements to guide customers, partners, and internal team members to deliver successful customer solutions;
  • Developing relationships with technical and business leaders at customer sites to understand their digital transformation vision and identify opportunities for ServiceNow to drive value;
  • Translating business information and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve complex goals;
  • Managing technical governance and delivery operating models to ensure alignment with ServiceNow's best practices;
  • Ensuring instance health by working with the engagement team to reduce technical debt and align to ServiceNow's leading practices;
  • Supporting the sales effort by scoping and estimating the engagement and change orders;
  • Maintaining skills and certifications on industry-leading tools and technologies;
  • Supporting the professional development of others through means of mentoring and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in a professional services organization or equivalent education/experience;
  • Management consulting experience;
  • Ability to travel up to 80%;
  • Creativity with comfort running programs independently within a fast-paced environment;
  • Success driving complex issues through analysis and resolution;
  • Ability to relay complex information to diverse sets of audiences, both technical and non-technical;
  • ServiceNow certifications in aligned workflow;
  • Industry domain expertise in large program management, enterprise architecture, and technology strategy;
  • Large program experience leading architecture and design;
  • Enterprise architecture experience.
