Lead Rail Design Projects

A high-performing Senior Rail Engineer is needed to lead railroad and civil engineering design projects. This key role supports the Freight Rail Market Sector and other market sectors as needed.

The ideal candidate will manage scope, budget, and schedule, developing design criteria, specifications, project guides, project meeting notes, and cost estimating activities.

  • Leverage strong technical skills to perform railroad and/or civil engineering/design planning, analysis, and design aspects of rail and rail-related transportation projects.
  • Develop and implement effective quality control measures to ensure high-quality project deliverables.
  • Maintain a collaborative working relationship with clients, stakeholders, and project managers to meet project goals and objectives.

This position requires a strong understanding of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will have excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in railroad and/or civil engineering design, with at least 5 years in a lead or management role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from concept to completion.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
