Job Description

Sr Configuration Specialist Role Overview:

This role leads the configuration team in developing product implementations within the CPQ-FPX configurator, ensuring alignment with commercial and operational demands.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and/or modify bills of materials and technical specification matrices in collaboration with project leaders to ensure adherence to required specifications and quality standards.
  • Develop implementation plans and design solutions for product configuration, overseeing the configurator team in creating interfaces and logical rules for configurable bills of materials.
  • Integrate products and their options into the CPQ-FPX product configurator, facilitating its release for sale.
  • Work on preparing the PDM-FPX interface and activities related to CPQ with Oracle, focusing on bill of material creation and item registration.
  • Collaborate with other Wayne manufacturing facilities on tasks related to PDM and CPQ, ensuring seamless coordination.
  • Balance workload among team members to meet SLA commitments, promoting efficient collaboration.
  • Investigate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) issues and manage non-conformity dispositions related to the Bill of Materials.
  • Manage tickets and engineering-related activities in the SharePoint system associated with CPQ-FPX.
  • Analyze data and statistics to drive continuous performance improvement within the team.
  • Address commercial and operations team requests regarding system improvements and issue resolutions within CPQ-FPX.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrate leadership in communicating business objectives, programs, and processes for a specific area or segment.
  • Utilize experience or knowledge to solve problems, develop and execute objectives, and achieve short-term, medium-term, and sometimes long-term business goals.
  • Report risks, mitigation, and resolution to management through business segment risk analyses.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Promote cross-functional and cross-cultural teamwork, identifying and resolving issues during projects.
  • Able to work under tight deadlines and adjust priorities in fast-paced environments.
  • Able to handle ambiguity and stressful situations with composure.
  • Able to lead teams or projects/programs, as well as create, interpret, and optimize complex product mathematical and logical rules.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of organizational strategy, set personal goals aligned with business objectives, and provide market and customer insights to support strategic planning.
  • Proficient in Database Management, SQL, Product Configurator, Java programming language syntax, Office package, and Oracle ERP system.
