Procurement Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced procurement specialist to join our organization in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with global category teams to develop and implement category sourcing strategies for assigned categories.
  • Build and maintain stakeholder relationships with team members and site procurement teams, ensuring effective two-way communication and alignment with global and regional category managers.
  • Conduct market research to understand general and specific market conditions impacting assigned categories.
  • Identify and engage suppliers that reduce costs, improve payment terms, ensure continuity of supply, and meet quality requirements.
  • Select and negotiate with suppliers, establishing and monitoring supply agreements.
  • Develop and implement cost management programs to deliver year-on-year cost improvement.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to implement sourcing strategies, cost savings initiatives, and issue resolution.
  • Manage supplier relationships, measure performance, and lead continuous improvement programs.
  • Evaluate supply risks, forecast vulnerabilities, and implement plans to ensure continuity of supply.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum 5 years procurement or supply chain experience.
  • Fluent Portuguese, English, and Spanish (oral and written).
  • Previous experience in procuring indirect categories across multi-country business locations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to assess complex data.
  • Project Management skills, implementing new approaches across multiple locations.
  • Supplier Management skills, negotiation, contract creation, and management.
  • Excellent persuasion and presentation skills, with strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority.
