Hotel Leadership Opportunity

We seek an accomplished leader to oversee the operational aspects of our luxury hotel project in Paramaribo, Suriname. The General Manager will lead the pre-opening phase, including the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), vendor and contractor coordination, staff recruitment, onboarding, and training.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead all operational departments: Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Engineering, etc.
  • Manage the pre-opening phase, including SOPs development, vendor and contractor coordination, staff recruitment, onboarding, and training
  • Execute the strategic vision in collaboration with ownership
  • Maintain exceptional service standards and ensure guest satisfaction
  • Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing local team
  • Ensure compliance with local laws and international luxury hospitality standards
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with VIP and corporate clients
  • Oversee budgets, P&L, forecasting, and cost control initiatives
Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years of senior hotel operations leadership (GM, Director of Ops, or similar)
  • Experience in luxury or 5-star hotels is essential
  • Hotel pre-opening experience is highly preferred
  • Proven leadership and team-building skills
  • Strong knowledge of F&B operations, guest experience, and operational KPIs
  • Familiarity with executive and business traveler needs
  • Fluent in English; Dutch and/or Spanish is a plus
  • Open to international relocation (expat package available)
