Economic Governance Specialist

Our organization seeks an experienced journalist to cover Brazil and Latin America. This region offers a plethora of captivating stories surrounding politics and economics.

  • We're looking for a skilled editor to join our economy/government team in Brazil at a crucial time.
  • The stakes for Latin America's largest economy have never been higher: inflation remains above 10%, hunger and poverty are surging, and so is dissatisfaction with the governing class.
  • You'll be responsible for writing a story that's been reported in the local language, requiring fluency in Portuguese and Spanish.
  • You'll be based in Brasilia, Rio de Janeiro or Sao Paulo, joining a team of reporters and editors spread across some 10 Latin American countries.
  • You'll need to have experience working in Latin America, speed and agility in a competitive environment, and comfort in a collaborative newsroom.
