School Maintenance Specialist

Ensuring school properties are well-maintained and presentable is a top priority for this role.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Carry out cleaning and maintenance tasks, including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, washing floors, windows, and walls, disinfecting surfaces, removing trash and debris, setting up, moving, and taking down furniture or equipment, repairing or replacing it when needed.
- Conduct regular inspections of building equipment, such as HVAC systems, electrical panels, plumbing fixtures, fire safety equipment, security systems, boilers, water heaters, emergency generators, backup power supplies, interior and exterior structural components, reporting any abnormalities to the supervisor/school principal.
- Perform minor repairs to buildings, including basic plumbing, electrical, and structural maintenance, manage inventory and dispense routine materials and supplies, monitor school buildings and grounds for security and safety conditions, maintain cleanliness, perform minor snow removal, follow up on snow and ice removal, ensure clear access to school properties.
- Maintain landscaped areas by watering and weeding as necessary, assist with scheduled group activities and non-school-related events, respond to emergencies, and be on call during work hours.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
