About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Account Manager to join our Vendor Success Program team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing close management relationships with key distributors in the Books category, driving cost negotiation, results monitoring, process improvement, and ensuring operational performance.

This role will work closely with multiple stakeholders and teams across the Amazon organization, requiring effective communication, problem-solving, and relationship management skills. The successful candidate will be an effective listener, communicator, and problem-solver, able to balance the needs and requirements of both strategic vendors and Amazon's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop Strategic Vendor Relationships: Develop and execute growth acceleration plans for mid-sized vendors, ensuring their long-term growth in Retail and driving selection growth and availability for Amazon customers.
  2. Vendor Management: Manage vendors from a specific Product Family, responsible for their business P&L and ensuring operational and financial results.
  3. Business Strategy Alignment: Align with key stakeholders on business strategy and ensure vendor performance meets Amazon's expectations.
  4. Process Improvement: Analyze and track key KPIs to ensure vendor performance and suggest process improvements to drive results.
A Day in the Life
  1. Collaborate with Stakeholders: Connect with partner business teams, peers, and stakeholders to understand and align business opportunities.
  2. Educate Vendors: Educate vendors about Amazon tools, processes, and resources to drive business growth.
  3. Negotiate Business Agreements: Create and negotiate business agreements with vendors to drive revenue and performance improvement.
  4. Vendor Performance Management: Analyze, create, and manage vendor deals and events performances to ensure vendor success.
Requirements
  1. 2+ years of sales or account management experience.
  2. 2+ years of digital advertising and client-facing roles experience.
  3. Experience with Excel and data analysis.
  4. Experience in relationship management within technology, start-ups, or SaaS Platforms.
