Lead Android Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Staff-Level Android Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of applications, tools, and processes, ensuring value, clarity, and maintainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement large-scale refactors across the software ecosystem.
  • Use your expertise to navigate non-trivial testing scenarios and ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Champion the adoption and implementation of new practices and technologies.
  • Provide on-call support for critical systems and applications.

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of experience as an Android Engineer with a proven track record of success.
  • Expert knowledge in implementing world-class engineering practices and principles.
  • Deep understanding of client tech stacks and ability to integrate and improve them.
  • Strong understanding of the Android development lifecycle and ecosystem.
  • Experience with IDEs, version control systems, and command-line tools.

  • Expertise in choosing and executing deployment strategies that meet the needs of clients and stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding and empathy for client hesitations around frequent releases and change management.
  • Proven ability to balance helping and teaching with the need to finish tasks and projects.
