Technology Leader Position

We are seeking a seasoned Technology Leader to drive our organization's technology strategy, roadmap development, and team management. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team of developers, DevOps, testers, and sys admins to deliver our technology vision.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in agile delivery management, resource and capacity management, and technical leadership. They will be responsible for driving the ways of working in our development processes, improving the quality of our technical solutions, and ensuring we can deliver value as early as possible using various methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technology team to continue planning, developing, and implementing the company's technology roadmap.
  • Own the planning and prioritizing of resources across the technology team to ensure an effective balance between product delivery and ongoing maintenance and support of platforms and services.
  • Provide overall technical leadership and direction to the organization and the technology team, encouraging controlled innovation and improvement in technology and data systems, processes, and ways of working.
  • Work collaboratively with staff at all levels to ensure our digital and technology services meet customer needs, are cost-effective, scalable, easy to use, and meet current and future requirements.
  • Develop and maintain the capability, processes, and team structures for managing change, agile software development, rapid deployment, and cyber security.
  • Ensure a clear vision and delivery plan for technology and technology development is communicated to all staff, and ongoing delivery is transparent and well-communicated across the group.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a technology leadership role, preferably in a similar-sized organization or business unit.
  • Hands-on experience in agile delivery management with mixed teams of internal and external developers.
  • Experience in successfully building, managing, and motivating multidisciplinary technical teams.
  • Experience in planning and delivering digital products and services using agile development techniques to meet customer expectations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the digital and data landscape, as well as emerging technologies.
  • Excellent teamwork and problem-solving skills.
