
Global Translation Services Strategic Leader

About the RoleWe are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our translation services department. As a strategic leader, you will be responsible for advancing translation support for our organization and clients with a full array of language solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large teams and driving business growth through strategic planning, innovation, and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to drive new business opportunities and revenue growth.
- Lead and manage a global team of professionals, providing coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify metrics that drive strategy, performance, and efficiency.
- DIRECT delivery of solutions in a collaborative cross-functional environment.
- Act as a liaison between the team and business leadership, providing progressive updates and aligning the team with overall business objectives.
Requirements:
Education and ExperienceA Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 8+ years). 2+ years of management responsibility In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training, and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- 5+ years of localization experience, preferably in life sciences
- Proven management experience in language services or related field including TM/MT/CAT tools technology
- Advanced leadership abilities and skills to include leading organizational change - Excellent people management and interpersonal skills including the ability to coach, mentor, and develop staff
- Close attention to detail to deliver concise and accurate requirements-based products and services
- Advanced ability to exercise independent judgement and decision making
- In-depth knowledge of fiscal management to include budgeting and forecasting - Demonstrated skills with meeting facilitation and presentation
Manager role with significantly larger management scope (e.g. global or regional responsibilities or multiple departments) OR mastery of manager skills and responsibilities as demonstrated by consistent, multi-year successful performance.
