We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team in the operation of designated machines and production equipment.
This position involves:
- Operating designated machines and production equipment under supervision to manufacture products according to predefined process instructions.
- Performing basic operation of machines and equipment such as blenders, sieves, spray dryer systems, batching systems, multipurpose reactors, spinning cone column, bulk tanks, robots, packaging systems, ovens, mills, distillation columns (stills), and encapsulation systems.
- Collecting intermediates or raw materials, moving and loading them into production machines.
- Understanding bill of materials and/or formula specifications, adding proper quantities of materials in the proper sequence.
- Manufacturing product in a safe and timely manner, meeting specific quality standards.
- Troubleshooting problems under guidance of more experienced operators or providing assistance.
- Assisting in performing in-process quality testing to ensure customer specifications are met.
- Preparing product packaging for next step in production or final shipment to customer according to department specifications.
- Maintaining neat, orderly, and clean shop floor and workplace at all times, completing sanitation and housekeeping duties as required.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- 3-4 years of experience in flavor, ingredient, food, or chemical manufacturing.
- Forklift operation skills and SAP bar coding/scanning experience are preferred.
- Basic math, reading, and recordkeeping skills, as well as basic PC skills, including competency in MS Office products.
