Job Title: Duty Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Duty Manager to oversee the smooth operation of our Front Desk and ensure exceptional guest service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily briefings and ensure all team members are well-informed.
  • Manage and supervise tasks to deliver high-quality service and meet department standards.
  • Analyze rate variance reports and approve discounts and rebates.
  • Communicate with the Front Office Manager on guest services and hotel operations.
  • Ensure documentation of guest-related issues and sign media procedures.
  • Coordinate with other departments on general administration and operations issues.
  • Provide management presence by handling guest needs and complaints efficiently.
  • Assist Guest Relations in greeting, rooming, and sending off guests.
  • Inspect front and back of house areas for cleanliness and orderliness.
  • Ensure front-line staff complies with marketing techniques and maximizes sales.
  • Check billing instructions, monitor guest credit, and act on discrepancies.
  • Coordinate full house situations and make necessary arrangements for overbooking and pledge relocates.
  • Ensure On-Call Valet Desks and driveways are manned efficiently and procedures are followed.
  • Handle and manage hotel emergencies and conduct Night Audit Process.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Tourism / Hospitality Management.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
  • Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English language.
  • Ability to speak other languages and basic understanding of local languages will be an advantage.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, & PowerPoint.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and training skills.
  • Good communication and customer contact skills.
  • Results and service-oriented with an eye for details.
  • Ability to multi-task, work well in stressful & high-pressure situations.
  • A team player & builder.
  • A motivator & self-starter.
