About the Role

The Chapter Data Scientist is responsible for leading a high-performing data science team and driving the organization's data science strategy. This involves defining and executing a vision for data-driven decision making, as well as overseeing the development and deployment of scalable and business-relevant machine learning and AI models.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Bolster a collaborative and autonomous data science team by building strong relationships and fostering a culture of innovation.
  • Define and execute the data science strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the development and deployment of machine learning and AI models that drive business impact.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, product, operations, and leadership to deliver impactful data-driven solutions.
  • Promote continuous improvement through reusability, automation, and model monitoring.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or any quantitative field; Master's or PhD strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading data science teams and fostering a healthy team culture.
  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques and experimentation frameworks.
  • Expertise in Python and PySpark for data manipulation, modeling, and production workflows.
  • Solid experience in architecting and optimizing data processing workflows using Databricks, Azure, and Spark.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD workflows, version control, and automation tools.
