The role of a Coordinator, Global Road Transport Initiatives is to support the delivery of the Breakthrough Agenda by coordinating international road transport initiatives.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and committed individual with relevant professional experience in transportation, energy, environment, and/or policy to support the acceleration of zero-emission vehicle development and uptake in support of global decarbonization efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the landscape of leading transport sector initiatives and Breakthrough Agenda countries to deliver Priority Actions.
  • Organize regular roundtables and discussions with implementing initiatives, governments, and stakeholder groups to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Work closely with co-lead countries to develop and implement annual Road Transport Breakthrough Agenda activities, ensuring effective project management and coordination.
  • Coordinate transport sector inputs to the annual Breakthrough Agenda report and response, providing valuable insights and data-driven recommendations.
  • Support the delivery of Road Transport communications and events at major international climate conferences, showcasing progress and promoting the Breakthrough Agenda.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or above in environmental science, public policy, transportation, international relations, or related field.
  • Ten or more years of relevant professional experience in transportation, energy, environment, and/or policy, with a proven track record of successful engagement with international stakeholders.
  • Able to work independently and manage own workload to meet key milestones, prioritizing tasks and managing competing deadlines.
  • An established network within the international climate and transportation space, enabling effective collaboration and partnership-building.
