The Engineering Manager - App Stores role is a leadership position responsible for leading a remote team of engineers. This role requires experience in modern, agile software development practices and forming a healthy engineering culture aligned with company values.
Main Responsibilities- Lead a remote team of engineers, develop talent through coaching, mentoring, feedback, and career development.
- Set and manage expectations with other engineering teams, management, and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with leaders to achieve common goals.
- Work with the team to build web service APIs using Python (and optionally Golang).
- Good experience in leading modern, agile software development practices.
- Demonstrable experience as a role model for sound engineering principles and contributing to team goals.
- Ability to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.
- Passion for mentoring and growing people, with a track record of doing so.
- Familiarity with software development and agile methodologies.
- Experience with Python (Golang experience a plus).
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Practical experience with Linux system administration.
