Job Summary:

Marsh is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager - Data Strategy to lead the development and implementation of our global data strategy. This is a key role that will require strong leadership and technical skills to drive business value through data-driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, coordinate and implement data strategy plans that meet global, regional and local requirements.
  • Support the development and delivery of operational, analytical and transactional systems that provide measurable business value to the enterprise.
  • Maintain and develop a wide network of relationships with other department heads to align departmental priorities across operation, technology and business stakeholders.
  • Communicate with stakeholders the global data initiatives and support the adherence to global data standards.
  • Support regional business users in navigating the balance between short-term imperatives and long-term strategic objectives.
  • Provide insights to colleagues on how to optimize their current processes and achieve continuous states of improved data quality.
  • Help to educate stakeholders on the 'art of the possible' with regard to their data and bridge business and technical discussions.
  • Recruit, train, mentor and manage a team of data professionals to support regional data needs.
  • Guide the development of data-oriented dashboards that inspire colleagues to think expansively and outside the box.
  • Work with regional business users to translate their user cases into business and technical requirements according to global standards.

Requirements:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with data systems and their associated operations.
  • Deep appreciation for all things data - its role, impact, challenges and potential within an organization.
  • Strong stakeholder and people management skills.
  • Ability to create differentiated, insightful and inspiring dashboards in concert with data management information colleagues.
  • Solid understanding of data management and data governance concepts, processes, technologies and issues.
  • Experience structuring and managing behaviour change across complex, global organizations.
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish.
